Solar protection systems using glass louvers are as broad a family as you can imagine.
The versatility of the base material, and the infinite customization possibilities available are an extraordinary opportunity for a technically efficient and up-to-date design, without losing design flexibility.
Glass Louvers
We mainly work with lattice systems composed of tempered glass louvers and tempered and laminated glass.without limitation of surface finishes (screen-printed, solar control glass, colored butyral, etc.), to which we apply the highest quality hardware and our own design in which safety and resistance are paramount to achieve a durable product, while discreet, giving prominence to the aesthetics of the glass.
We offer adjustable slat louvers with widths ranging from 19cms to more than 45cms, with many intermediate options, measures that in the case of fixed slat louvers, can be increased and can also play with the slat inclinations.
Glass
Glass is an inorganic material that stands out above all for its transparency to one degree or another. Economically produced, it has been present on a large scale in construction since the mid-twentieth century, a period from which it began to be an identifying sign of the great modern skyscrapers, although its use in enclosures, windows and ornaments dates back to the Middle Ages.
It is a very versatile material, which is available with various treatments (surface or structural) to improve its thermal insulation, its resistance or its reflection of the sun’s rays. Our range is mainly focused on two options, fixed or movable louvers in tempered glass, or movable or fixed louvered louvers with laminated and tempered glass.
Tempered glass louvers on exterior facades
Tempered glass louvers incorporate a heat-treated base material that converts them into safety glass.
This system means that in case of breakage, the glass shatters into small granular pieces, with a very low risk of injury.
In addition, this process improves the structural strength of the base material and increases the flexural strength.
Laminated and tempered glass lattices are composed of two independent pieces of tempered glass, which are joined together by means of one or more adhesive sheets (which can be transparent, translucent or even colored) to add the strength of both glasses.
This adhesive also reduces the number of fragments that break off in the event of breakage, thus improving the safety of the tempered glass itself.
Umbelco glass trusses
Regardless of the base material, it is characterized by an enormous versatility, which allows us to offer both adjustable slats of sizes smaller than 105mm, and large format fixed slats, even larger than 400mm.
We have a wide range of end caps and drives of our own design and manufacture, specially designed to maximize the capabilities of the glass we use.
Louvered louvers with solar control glazing
External coating system of glass on facades that improves the refraction of the sun’s rays and thus avoids the greenhouse effect without losing direct vision.
Glass louvers with screen-printed glass louvers
They can be standardized (dots, lines, etc.) or special with their own design, which allow the customization of the facades to unsuspected limits.
