Sun protection needs

The design of the Sanahuja & Partners project revolves around “biophilic architecture”, a concept focused on the use of natural materials, the use of vegetation as healthy and natural ornamentation, construction efficiency and economic, environmental and social sustainability. These concepts align perfectly with the cutting-edge agricultural project developed by SanLucar Fruit.

In this design concept, the light floods the interior rooms through various free openings and serves to feed the plants that grow inside the building, and is regulated by large-format adjustable brise soleil systems, both vertical and horizontal, which evoke the corporate and company colours and blend with the exterior elements of the building.

Our contribution to the project

The lattices installed in this project are
the UPO-480
, a brise soleil of aluminum slats 48cms wide by almost 10cms thick. Their choice for the project aligns with the concept of biophilic architecture due to its high efficiency and environmental sustainability, as well as its excellent cost-to-functionality ratio.

To control these lattices, electric motors of the highest quality are incorporated, which the client has integrated into a home automation system that regulates their opening and closing automatically. This system has been applied to all modules, whether they incorporate vertical or horizontal slat lattices.

On the other hand, it is brise soleil that, due to its dimensions, fits perfectly in industrial projects such as corporate headquarters, in which it provides a visual impact factor to the projects and that, thanks to the wide range of colors in which it is available, facilitates its integration into designs that link the building to the corporate image of the brands that represent it.

Finally, we would like to comment that the installations shown here correspond to a second phase of expansion of the SanLucar Fruit facilities, and in the first phase,
UPO-250
type adjustable aluminum slat lattices were incorporated.
